A visit to the Ecoshape pilot site in Delfzijl allowed to complement the observations and to discuss site instrumentation for monitoring, desalination issues and agricultural beneficial use opportunities.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-GB\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Arial;\">Small group sessions were led on priority topics identified during the spring meeting of the WG:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">Clear definitions of concepts (beneficial use, valorisation, reuse, sustainability) <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">Beyond the initial \u201cmass balance\u201d approach to CE, need for defining \u2018value\u2019 to ecological potential of sediment<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\"><span style=\"font: 7pt 'Times New Roman'; margin: 0px; font-size-adjust: none; font-stretch: normal;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">Incorporating CO<sub>2<\/sub> and CH<sub>4<\/sub> balance of sediment use in CE balance and funding, benefit or risk? <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\"><span style=\"font: 7pt 'Times New Roman'; margin: 0px; font-size-adjust: none; font-stretch: normal;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">Setting up a synthetic catalogue of beneficial use options. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-GB\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Arial;\">A WG white paper can be initiated with the outcome.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-GB\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Arial;\">The focus of the WG-meeting was on a System-analysis workshop. This system thinking method allows investigating overlooked or long term options, to the opposite of Business as usual strategies.
