Public understanding of coastal dynamics and evolution is of vital importance in supporting the\u00a0implementation of sustainable coastal management. However, successfully delivering scientific information to the general public is a challenging task. \u201cThe Beaches of Cascais: past and\u00a0present\u201d\u00a0science-based exhibition aimed at upstream public engagement\u00a0on coastal issues. Results from\u00a0two surveys, conducted before and after the exhibition, provide valuable insights on the effectiveness of\u00a0these types of initiatives as successful outreach platforms to raise public understanding about coastal\u00a0evolution.
